I am an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Reading. My research explores how motivation influences cooperation. In particular, I study how social preferences depend on context. This work incorporates game theory and laboratory experimental methods. My current work explores the implications of context-dependent motivation within organizations, as well as the implications of identity on economic and social behavior.
